Company:

Our client is currently are Australia's largest privately owned builder with a turnover in excess of $2bn. The business have a national branch network and a team of expert construction professionals. As a business they are involved in all project types from apartments to retail, commercial to aged care and they are looking to strengthen their Sydney office with a new PM to work on/across 1 of 3 major projects being tendered for currently. These are 2 x resi & 1 x retail ranging in value up to $200M.

Duties are varied and will include:

  • Work within the Programme Delivery Team to manage delivery of project budgets and quality
  • Ensure that internal project controls are achieved and reported on
  • Present all deliverables, scope, budget and timeline in relation to projects in delivery
  • Prepare agendas and take minutes at both internal and client facing project meetings
  • Quality assurance of projects
  • Preparation and submission of fee proposals
  • Account/Framework Management
  • Contract Management and Control
  • Engaging third party suppliers
  • Cost control and invoicing
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to promote the company's services with new and existing clients

Key Skills/Experience Required:

In order to be considered for the role, you must possess the following;

  • A wealth of project management design experience gained from within the construction industry or a construction/design related qualification
  • An understanding of planning and design processes
  • Experience of managing project budgets and schedules
  • The ability to pro-actively identify issues, risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate solutions or actions
  • A technical background would be desirable
  • Proven organizational skills and a demonstrable ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities whilst maintaining quality
  • An excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
